EIDO Agri began its formal roots in 2016, with assets in three distinct regions; Gadap, Sujawal, Ahmedpur. The business started with crop cultivations in Gadap and further expanded to Sujawal growing various varieties of the most common vegetables in Pakistan. The Ahmedpur farm was utilized to set up a wheat straw pressing unit, whereby the product was primarily sold to the Karachi animal feed market and to exporters. The EIDO name gained recognition amongst the Karachi vendors for it's high product quality and reliability of supply chain.
The current operations of EIDO Agri comprises of over 200 acres of land between the Gadap and Sujawal farms cultivating both major and minor crops. Furthermore, a dairy farm is managed from the Gadap farms providing quality cow milk to the markets of Karachi everyday. Currently, the dairy farm has about 40 milking cows and a cattle stock of another 40 animals for rearing purposes. The Gadap farms are energy and water independent, sourcing fresh water from its deep water well, extracted using renewable energy sources.
The future of EIDO Agri entails delving into intensive farming techniques to increase the quality and yield of the crops, aiming to provide better-quality food crops at an affordable price. Certain feasibilities are being carried out to assess the optimization of the farming process from sowing till harvest, and identify new hybrid seed variants to be harvested with modern farming techniques, alongside its dedicated team of farmers who are equal partners in all Agri ventures.
